You might be in sensory overload if you experience any of these symptoms: headaches, irritability, decreased concentration, dizziness, nausea, anxiety or fatigue.
Living in sensory overload can make life and daily activities challenging because the world feels a little too bright and a little too loud. Sensory overload can make you want to retreat from the world, sometimes for days, when you are just trying to do things you normally would.
Sensory overload happens to everyone when their brain can’t process the amount of information being received from the senses fast enough. Stress, changes in mood, lack of sleep and hunger can all reduce our ability to cope with sensory inputs for a short period of time.
